I absolutely devoured The Hunted Heir. From the very first page, I was swept into a magical world that felt so vivid and alive, it was like escaping reality entirely. Holly has created an incredible spicy romantasy that had me hooked from start to finish. If you’re a fan of Dance of Thieves, this is 100% the book for you—only with that perfect extra touch of spice!

Let me just say: the world-building? Phenomenal. I loved how detailed and immersive it felt, without ever being overwhelming. And the characters! Oh, I fell head over heels for them. They’re flawed, they’re growing, and their journey feels so real. The personal growth in this story hit differently—it added such depth to the plot. And then there’s the fated mates trope, which was executed so perfectly. Sometimes fated mates can feel forced, but not here. Their connection was so natural, and I couldn’t help rooting for them the entire time.
And can we talk about the spice? Holly struck the perfect balance. The steamy moments were absolutely chef’s kiss—intense and emotional—but they never overpowered the main story. It’s a romantasy that lets the romance and the fantasy shine equally. I honestly couldn’t get enough!
One of the unexpected highlights for me was the paperback edition I purchased. It’s (in my opinion) dyslexia-friendly, with a larger, easy-to-read font that made the reading experience so much more enjoyable.
And Holly’s writing? It’s like magic on the page. Her storytelling flows effortlessly, pulling you deeper and deeper into the world she’s created. The only downside? I read it way too fast, and now I’m desperate for the third book!
